The compact Nova was redesigned for 1966 and featured new sheet metal armor to compete in the musclecar performance wars, which were heating up on streets across America. The General ordered the L79 327 directly from the Corvette into the new recruit. The combination of a high revving small block and lightweight took this little soldier from basic training to special forces.
