Buick spiced up the 1949 model year with the mid-year introduction of the Riviera. Part of the Roadmaster series, the Riviera was the two-door hardtop version that came with the new general Motors C-body, with longer front fenders and four vent ports per side. Adding a touch of luxury, the rear wheelhouse openings came skirted. Inside there was now a new instrument panel, and the Riviera was upholstered in leather and cloth, and came with power windows standard. This model also marks the debut of a brand new JL tool, and there’s no mistaking that this Silver Chrome version captures the car’s timeless beauty.
