The ‘50s and the ‘60s were a uniquely creative time in automotive design, as cars began to show more and more “personality” as the result of various styling elements. These “decades of designing decadence” gave us bulging bumpers, fantastic fins and an explosion of chrome, as designers tested the limits and often toed the line between “success” and “excess.” This series brings back some of the gleam and “fin”esse of these design benchmarks.
