If Chevy had not introduced the '53 Corvette it's likely that Ford never would have felt compelled to develop the Thunderbird. Although the T-Bird was a response to it, Ford's two-seater was a distinctly different animal from GM's fiberglass-bodied sports car. It has been five years since the release of a stock Johnny Lightning '56 T-Bird on a blistercard. This release of the Thunderbird is painted in authentic Goldenglow Yellow with a stunning black hardtop. Also, this it the first time it has been released with a black top.
