'62 Corvair Monza Convertible

Release Date: May 2007

Cast Number: 914

The death of the rear-engine Corvair is one of the sadder ironies in automotive history. Ralph Nader was not responsible for killing the Corvair. The ax had actually fallen some six months before the release of his 1965 book, Unsafe at Any Speed. This Johnny Lightning release is the first time the Corvair has been manufactured as a convertible. It is painted with metallic Honduras Maroon with a black drop top and has a Saddle Tan interior.
