The 1950 Olds Super 88 was the entry-level offering from the Oldsmobile division in 1950. With it's gaping grille, reminiscent of a space-age/jet plane intake, the Super took flight. Driven by a 303 cubic inch/135 horsepowered, Rocket overhead-valve V8 engine, the Super was a high-compression, over achiever. Comparatively light in weight, compared to the luxurious 98 series, the 88 was one of the best performing cars of the 50's.
