Pontiac's full-size offering for '65 could be ordered with the optional 2+2 Sports Package, which carried the 421 engine, special "421" and "2+2" badging, and simulated louvers behind the front wheel cutouts. The car was clocked at 0-60 mph in 7.4 seconds, and 15.8 seconds for the ź-mile. The Coca-Cola ads proclaimed that Coke was "Something more than a soft drink," and truer words were never spoken, as Coke had weaved its thread into the fabric of Americana.
