Receiving new sheet metal for 1971, along with a new interior the 1971 Roadrunner was smooth, with bulging fenders and a slick transition from C-pillar to quarter-panel. New interiors looked more like a cockpit from a fighter-jet, with highback bucket seats and a 4-pod instrument panel. Under the "Air Grabber" hood was Plymouth's top performance engine -- the legendary 440 Six Pack, putting the "Run" in the Roadrunner.
