Extremely popular, the '65 model spiked a 44% sales increase with a new body riding on a longer 121-inch wheelbase. Standard fare under the hood was a 421 cid. V-8 with four-barrel carb that brought 338 ponies, and heavy-duty springs and shocks, a three-speed with Hurst shifter, and dual exhausts were also standard.
