First introduced in 1968, the Javelin was American Motors entry into the ponycar market and by 1969 the Javelin had already established itself as a worthy foe against the "Big 3," as a truly competent performance car. Available with a 390 cubic inch 325 horsepower engine the Javelin proved to be a lethal weapon in the ponycar wars.
