Pontiacs "Super Bird" for 1972 was the Firebird Formula. Designed to be highly aerodynamic and aggressive in appearance, with its twin hood scoops and wide threatening track, the "formula" was the right mix at the right time. 1972 was a UAW strike year so production figures for the Firebird are low and when coupled with the 455 HO engine the 1972 Firebird Formula becomes as rare as "hens teeth."
