This classic ‘Cuda gave new meaning to “business up front and party in the back,” as “Big Jim” Dunn’s rear-engine machine was ALL business - being the only funny car to run a six-second time, and winning the ‘72 NHRA Supernationals. Running with Dunn & Reath’s 392 Chrysler Hemi and a Woody Gilmore trick chassis, Dunn’s car ran a 6.44 - more than half-a-second faster than the next rear-engine funny car. Hollywood even took notice of Dunn’s handiwork, as the car was featured in the movie “Funny Car Summer.”
