After construction was completed in the San Francisco Yards, the original starship U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 - a Constitution Class starship - was launched in 2245, and would be captained by Robert April, Christopher Pike and finally, James T. Kirk. Due to be decommissioned in 2285, the U.S Enterprise 1701-A was instead destroyed by Captain Kirk to keep it from being captured by Klingons. This model is set to "stun," especially with the included phasers.
