The fifth Starfleet starship to be named Enterprise, NCC-1701D was a Galaxy Class vessel under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, and was launched in 2363 from Mars' Utopia Planetia Yards. With 42 decks, the Enterprise-D was twice the length of the earlier Constitution class ships and had eight times the interior space. Armament included 10 phaser banks, 250 photon torpedoes and a high-capacity shield grid. Maximum speed was Warp 9.5, with its engines red-lining at Warp 9.3. Renegade Klingons destroyed the ship in 2371. This model shows some of the damage sustained in combat, and comes with a separate saucer and hull.
