The year 1979 marked the penultimate year for production of the second generation Scout II, which had been made fort Wayne, Indiana - with the first generation debuting back in 1961. The Scout II was marketed as a two-door vehicle that could be either a half cab pickup truck or feature a full hard or soft top. Buyers “scouting” for a vehicle for both versatility and fun had to look no further. This Silver Chrome version is the first release of the Scout.
